Another year, another owner bailing on Arizona after 5 minutes. After locking up practically the team's entire cap on long-term deals for Brian McCann, Shin Choo and failed attempts to sign JJ Hardy and Hanley Ramirez, the Arizona owner cleared out his office and moved back to Fire Island. As a result, the team went nowhere.

Best Offseason Move|
After blowing a lot of draft picks the last few years, new ownership took the process seriously. The newly-named Canyoneros added four big time talents in Ryan Lavarnway, Brett Lawrie, Juan Nicasio and Julio Teheran. They supplemented the stars with some value additions like Tyler Chatwood, Zach Stewart and Eric Surkamp. Depth is important in WSL and it looks like Arizona finally figured that out.
Worst Offseason Move
For a team that hits the phones as hard as anyone in WSL, it's hard to believe that Arizona let veteran leadership like Hideki Matsui and Gerald Laird leave for Cleveland at near the veterans minimum. Rumor has it ownership's addiction to online poker and devoting too much time to getting us all banned from the stratfanforum led to the oversight.
PG's '11 Prediction
It's hard to believe a team that might give up 8 runs a game could win many contests. At least fans have something to look forward to next year. 50-112 record.
